These instructions are written for PC users with Microsoft Excel and Google Chrome installed

To export a list of student information as a text file:

  1. Select a group of students
  2. Choose the Quick Export Function
  3. Enter the following fields*:

*term abbreviation should be updated based on the term needed

4.On the Opening student.export.text window, select Open With and then EXCEL.EXE or Microsoft Excel (if Microsoft Excel is not in the menu, click Other)  

From the Choose Helper Application window, click Browse Find and click Microsoft Excel In the Opening student.export.text window, select Always use the selected program to open this kind of file From now on, when Firefox asks if you want to open or save the file, you can choose Open, and the file will open in Excel. 

5.Click OK

6. Verify that data has imported correctly into Excel.
