• Select the group of students from the main page of PowerSchool (all students, one grade level, select by hand, etc.).
• From the Functions drop-down below the list of selected students, choose Export Using Template
• Type of Export – select the name from the Type of Export-STUDENTS for student related exports
• Then select the name of the template you wish to use. Click Submit.
The text will either display in your browser or you will be prompted to open or save the file.
If the text is exported within the browser-
Copy and Paste the text in a text editor.
If you are prompted to open or save the file-
Save the file on your desktop.
•Open Excel or similar spreadsheet software
•Open the text file and save as a spreadsheet
Once your data is in Excel, you can delete any columns that are not needed, and sort or filter the data as necessary
